This city was founded 350 years before Rome, 1,000 years before Paris, and no less than 2,700 years before New York. When the Phoenicians knew Cádiz as a "the fortress", it would still be 2,000 years before Madrid came into existence. When those same Canaanites from the Mediterranean were already building temples and crafting ships here, another 500 years would pass before the founding of Istanbul, and 2,500 years before the world knew Tokyo.
