Soy Jesús Carrillo, guía oficial y divulgador cultural. Desde hace más de diez años me dedico a acompañar a viajeros y locales para descubrirles la fascinante historia de Cádiz.
Soy el tipo de guía que me gustaría encontrar como cliente. Por eso, trato de explicar la historia y la información de una manera sencilla, pero rigurosa; interesante y, sobre todo, cercana y divertida.
Creo que comprender el pasado nos ayuda a ser mejores en el presente: más tolerantes, más curiosos y con una mente más abierta ante la vida y el mundo que nos rodea.
También creo firmemente en la necesidad de fomentar un turismo responsable, sostenible y respetuoso con el destino, que permita disfrutar de los lugares sin olvidar a quienes viven en ellos.
Además de mi trabajo en Cádiz, viajar es mi otra gran pasión. He tenido la suerte de conocer diferentes países y continentes, de los que he aprendido muchísimo y que me han regalado experiencias increíbles. Todo ello también ha influido en mi forma de entender el turismo, la historia y mi profesión.
I'm Jesús Carrillo, an official tour guide and cultural communicator. For more than ten years, I've been helping travellers and locals discover the fascinating history of Cádiz.
I'm the kind of guide I would want to meet as a traveller myself. That's why I try to bring history and cultural heritage to life in a way that is clear and rigorous, but also engaging, enjoyable and easy to understand.
I believe that understanding the past can help us become better in the present: more tolerant, more curious and more open-minded towards life and the world around us.
I also strongly believe in promoting responsible, sustainable and respectful tourism—a way of discovering a destination while also respecting the people who live there and the places that make it unique.
Beyond my work in Cádiz, travelling is my other great passion. I've been fortunate enough to visit different countries and continents, each of them teaching me something new and giving me unforgettable experiences. All these journeys have also shaped the way I understand tourism, history and my profession.
